I Need Info On Houston, And I Don’t Mean Whitney

Do any of y’all live in Houston, Texas? Or have a vast pool of knowledge regarding Houston?

And would you be willing to offer one of my sweetest friends in the whole wide world a tutorial on the area?

Leave me a comment if you can help (my email isn’t working), and I’ll pass along your email address to my friend (if you don’t mind, of course).

Thanks a bunch (I have nothing else to say, but I just felt the need to add one more parenthetical expression in the interest of continuity).

I was born and raised there a long time ago and moved to NC 2 years ago. Looks like we might be moving back in the next 3 to 4 weeks — yippee. Let me know if I can help.

  5. I lived in Houston my whole life–and as an adult for many years (although not now), so if she’s looking to move, I have lived in 3 different areas, 3 different school districts and different sides of town, so I’d love to help her out. It’s vast, vast, vast and there are pros and cons to all the areas.

  6. Sorry, can’t help you.

  7. Hi,

  9. I’ve been in Houston for the past 10 years and would be happy to answer questions. I think you may go to church or know my brother and sister-in-law. Email me and we’ll compare notes.

  10. Phyllis R. says:

BooMama~I lived there for many years as a kid and graduated high school there (NW Houston). After college I lived in town (the West University area) for several years. If either of those are places they would like more info on, I would be glad to help.

  11. Hey Boomama! I am a born and raised Houston girl, who now lives about 30 minutes outside of the city. I have lots of relatives and friends in Houston and can answer a plethora of questions regarding schools, restaurants and of course, SHOPPING.

I lived in Houston for a year after Hurricane Katrina. My husband and I moved their from New Orleans and we have now relocated to Oxford, MS with his job. We fell in love with the clear lake area and bought a house right on the water (like we didn’t learn from Katrin!) Anyway, I would love to tell her all about the area. There is a great church there called clear creek. Go to http://www.clearcreek.org for that one. She can email me at sduncan73@aol.com.

By the way, I’m Shelby Ritter’s sister.

  13. Well, golly gee whiz, there are lots of Houston area bloggers to get to know here……I’m in the southwest area of Houston, the sweetest place called Sugar Land, so if I can help, I’d do so willingly. And you Houston, girls, we could meet up in the new year!!! Especiallly if Beth moves back…..
