Please explain to me how a good Southern woman, who most likely enjoys good Southern food, can be that darn svelte? (I almost typed “skinny,” but she’s Southern, after all, so it has to be “svelte.”) I need to know her secret!

I just have to laugh! Just yesterday I read your post with the pictures of her doing what I can only imagine is the electric slide. This lady is hilarious! My husband is from the south and his Mimi looks EXACTLY like her!

What an absolutely precious picture! My great-aunt Mayme had on a lovely angel pin at church today. I told her how nice it looked and she said it was her Christmas gift from Jessica, and that it meant so much to her because Jessica said it reminded her of her, although “I’m no angel” (is this sentence long enough, or what?). Jessica is a 10-year-old girl at church. Apparently she and her mother made a special shopping trip because she wanted to buy my great-aunt a pin for Christmas.
To make a very long story short, this picture makes me think of my sweet aunt and her joy over that pin.
