I’ve Been Meaning To Tell You This

December 28, 2007

The beginning of the year is prime time for getting involved in a new Bible study, and there are two great ones happening online.

I will now tell you a little bit about them.

Because I like to share.

The first study is going to be led my friend Kate, and her group will be reading through the Bible over the course of the next year. You can find details about it here.

The second study, “The Bible in 90 Days,” is being hosted by my friend Lori. You can find all the details here.

Later, interpeeps!

your print is small and hard to read. I enjoy reading your daily blogs … but my old eyes won’t allow such small print.

Thanks for sharing these. Strange timing too because I was just thinking how nice it would be to have an online Bible study group so I could get back to reading the Bible daily. Thanks for sharing!

I have to tell you that I am currently finishing up a study similar to the one your friend Kate is hostessing… a chronological read-through of the Bible. It has **changed my life** and, no, I am not exaggerating. I wrote a brief blog post about my expereince: http://tomatosoupcake.blogspot.com/2007/11/best-part-of-day.html
I’d just like to encourage anyone who hasn’t experienced the Bible in this way to join in.. it will be an amazing journey, I promise you!

I thank you very kindly for the link- I think I’ll be having my teens join in with your friend.. all those podcasts and such will be right up their alley;-)

I presume I’m being quite blasphemous to bring up FOOTBALL in a Bible Study topic - - - but I’m going to do it anyway.

YOUR BOWL GAME is today, girlfriend!!! 4:30 on ESPN, I’ll be there (NO - - -NOT AT THE GAME LIVE AN IN PERSON, sitting in front of my widescreen tuned into ESPN) pulling for YOUR BOYS.

Funny thing - - - I don’t know that I would have chosen them over UCF, being married to a Floridian and all - - - but since reading your Thanksgiving post, I’ve jumped on YOUR bandwagon. GO DOGS!!!

    :-)

PS - - - I’m having a friendly little competition with one of my students to see who could predict the most bowls correctly - - -hope your dogs are one of my WINS.

Thanks for the tip, I didn’t even know you could do bible study on line. Where’ve I been, right??

I also wanted to say thanks again for hosting the Christmas Tour of Homes. I had so much fun peeking in on other people’s houses and got a few great recipes too! Happy New Year!

I read the entire Bible in one year (four years ago) and even though I was glad I did it, it seemed like a marathon; didn’t see the trees as I ran through so many passages in a day (each day read from the Old & New Testament). I would probably benefit from the 90 day reading, sounds like it would be a good “refreshing”!

  13. Shelley says:

This sounds great. Thanks for letting us know about this. I’m not sure I can do the 90 day one. I get overwhelmed just thinking about it, although I love the concept. But the one year one seems doable.

AND - I just clicked over to check out Kate’s setup and saw that she is from Ohio as well. Can we just give it up for the Ohioans doing the Bible reading please?
