Even Yet More Deeply Still Than Before

I’m headed to Atlanta this morning for Deeper Still. Mel and I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time; in fact, I booked our hotel room EIGHT MONTHS AGO.

(Just typing that makes me giggle a little bit, because trust me: if my mid-20s self had known that my late-30s self would make arrangements to attend a two-day Bible study EIGHT MONTHS IN ADVANCE, my mid-20s self would have ROLLED HER EYES like nobody’s business.)

(Oh, believe you me: I was a CYNICAL DELIGHT.)

Anyway, if you’d like to keep up with what’s going on at Deeper Still, Melanie and I will be blogging over at AllAccess while we’re in Atlanta (technology permitting, of course). The folks at the Deeper Still blog will be updating all weekend, too.

I also have it on good authority that The Jeans will be making a return appearance.

I don’t want to get my hopes too high, but I do expect to have a bit of a holy moment when I see those jeans again.

And you’d better believe I’ll be taking some pictures.

Happy Friday, y’all.

  1. A cynical delight to just plain being a delight!

    Prayin’ for y’all this weekend!!
    Love,
    holly

  2. Tell me you are going to ASK about those jeans this time!! The fate of an entire blog-nation hinges on this discovery!!

On another note, read your blog (and Big Mama’s yesterday) for the first time and laughed til I cried. Thanks for all the tips. Just started blogging and they definitely came in handy. And especially thanks for the laughs!

  3. You know what I’ll be doing this week end? Serving my sisters, my mom and my nieces YOUR mama’s chicken salad and pasta salad. I made them last night and can I just say thank you for the tip to drain the relish before adding it? Hope you guys have fun!

  4. OH how I wish working at the LW could secure you tickets to this thing. But alas, no such luck. Wish I were there this weekend and thinking about all 19000 participants and my sweet authors (those who do not work on their Bible studies might know them as the speakers this weekend).

And the jeans post was a hoot. Lane Bryant perfect fit works, girl. Unless you happen to be pregnant, in which case, JEANS ARE EVIL AND NOT MADE OF JEAN.

  5. Those jeans will bring screams from the crowd! Maybe they can put a spotlight on her. :)

Have so much fun. 100% jealous in the most Godly way.

    Prayers are heading y’alls way!
    Hugs,
    Fran

  6. Y’all have FUN praisin’ you some JESUS!!!

  7. Is it bad that at the Beth Moore conference I kept thinking about what Big Mama and Boo Mama would say about her clothes? She is awful cute.
Also, thanks for expanding your feed! For some reason if I know I have to make that extra click to read your post then I just don’t get to it as quickly!

  8. AWWWWWWWWWWWW! I’m supposed to be there! My friend and I poked around and didn’t get tickets. Enjoy yourself!

    Jeannie

  9. Have a great time!

  10. I expect a full report on the jeans.

Oh, and the conference too. : )

  11. Tiffany says:

    Have a blessed time!

  12. Melanie twice in one month? Girl, you’re having the time of your life, aren’t you?

Have fun and eat some good Southern food for me.

  13. May you be anointed blessed – your cup filled to the brim and pressed down overflowing – and you sure as shootin’ better take pictures – inquiring minds and envious (in the most sisters in the faith godly way) beyond belief. You will rock! Thank you for the promise of vicarious spiritual growth

  14. Could you, maybe, if it’s not too much trouble, get a shot of those jeans from the BACK? But don’t get pulled off the stage by security or anything. I would feel so bad about that.

  15. Ya’ll have an awesome weekend, jeans and all. Looking forward to hearing more! God Bless.

  16. Sounds fun! I’m in the ATL, too. Guess we’ll just breathe the same air!

  17. Amanda J. told me yesterday she was going with her mom and was going to meet you and Melanie and I was green with envy both ways. I wish I could meet all of you! Hope you have the BEST time!!!!!

  18. Two weekends in a row? Oh, my…what a run of summer FUN.

    Enjoy–on a thousand levels :).

  19. I told BigMama that I’m going to HAVE to cut the little baby off at the “girls” so I can get out and DO some stuff!

  20. Sophie,
Kim just called and said, guess who I met? I said, who, and she said, BooMama and BigMama!! She was so excited. I was at Deeper Still last year and saw the famous jeans upclose and they are too adorable!! I can’t wait to see the pictures!! Have fun.
    Love,
    Patty

  21. Awww!

I’m an hour from Atlanta and wished I could have gone, but we had family coming down from Maine. I entertained those yankees so well they had to high-tail it out of here at 1:00 am to return the rental car on time.

    I miss them already.

  22. Now my pity party will be bigger than before. I didn’t get to leave this morning with the girls from our church due to some pressing family obligations. Y’all have a great time for me, will you?

  23. Boy, do you have a nice husband! I’m not sure how it would go over around here if I told him I was going away two weekends in a row. He’d deal with it, I know, but I don’t think he’d like it. Your husband deserves a prize of some sort when you get home!

  24. I am really jealous on this one. It sounds like such an awesome event. Have a wonderful time.

  25. I am laughing hysterically at your mid 20’s self being the cynical delight. I read your blog from time to time and always love it.
