- Jennifer’s post about The Two-Income Trap is excellent.

- Several of y’all have asked about my reactions to the marriage conference my hubby and I attended this past weekend. Well here you go.

- And here’s way more insight than you ever wanted or needed into my admittedly strange sense of humor: this SNL sketch has been making me laugh every single day for about three weeks.

I know. I know.

I almost wrote to ask you if you saw this sketch, and have been playing it repeatedly myself. I wasn’t sure if it was a little “too much” and didn’t want you to think that I had poor (or somewhat twisted) taste. I mean, it’s not as KLASSY as trading your soul for a really cool car…..

I’m glad I’m not alone with the strange sense of humor. :)

I, too, almost wet myself every time I watch this. Would you come help me do this for a talent show at church? My friends think I’m weird. “I found a dead cat on the side of the road so I took it home and put some honey on it…” I LOVE IT!!!!

That sketch has been making the rounds (and laughs) in my dept. here at work. A couple of the younger gals (25 to 30) here loved it, but asked me what the bubbles were all about. Youngins!!!! They are unaware of the famous Lawrence Welk bubbles! Man, that makes me feel old!!!

BTW, the show that aired on was probably the best SNL episode, overall, in several years1

RE: the SNL skit

You are twisted….but I mean that in a good way.

Did you by any chance see the skit with the Home School Quiz Bowl a few weeks ago…I almost hurt myself laughing.

Word to the wise — This skit should not be watched after having JUST put a couple of Milk Duds in one’s mouth. You know….because of THE CHOKING HAZARD from laughing so hard.

I’m okay…really…cough, cough, gasp, gasp…!

We used to watch Lawrence Welk. Every Saturday. 7:00 pm.

I pulled a tooth out during one show.

During another show, my brother and I started to make fun of some act (the thought!) and my mom got so mad she sent us to bed. To bed! For making fun of LW!

I begged my mom for an accordion, all b/c of LW. She bought me one. And paid for lessons.

We are DIE HARDS, I tell ya. DIE HARDS.

ZOMG, when he asks if that girl’s forehead is really that big or if he’s looking at it through bubble? I DIED. And how awesome was Anne Hathaway on that entire episode?

I laughed so hard I almost wet myself. I am trying to convince my hubby to let me teach four of our girls to perform this sketch at our Christmas get-together with family. I think it would be so meaningful, don’t you?
