The roommate seems to prefer FOX News network, so I’ll probably be glued to that tonight…maybe. I’ve got an awful lot of DVR to catch up on. Somebody’ll give me the news tomorrow.
I had to do a double take. That was the exact picture of where I am sitting(at the bar) and what I am doing (reading breaking news on laptop and switching channels…fox & cnn), in the room that I am doing it in. I had to call my husband in here just to look at your pic. He wanted to know if we planned this. lol But he did like the cookie idea.
We’ll be glued to FOX news tonight, on the TV and the laptop. I even took a nap today so I could stay up until the results are all in. Cookies sound like a great idea!
I’m not turning it on until we have a winner – we’re going to have family movie night instead! I don’t like listening to all the predictions & opinions for hours before the facts are set.
I voted on Friday and have spent the last 4 days with my fingers in my ears saying “lalalala I can’t hear you.” I’ll find out tomorrow, and hopefully miss the drama :)
We are THAT family – the FOX graphics make me cuckoo. I like Chris Wallace, but I can’t take all the movement on the screen :-) So CNN it is. And we always watched ABC when I was growing up, so it has a certain nostalgia for me.
Took to a warm bath with a book. Now watching the King of Queens. Occasionally checking the networks. I, too, have some DVR to catch up on and whatever happens I plan on going to bed at 10:00.
Chex Mix for us over in Texas. My husband says we will watch unless certain states are called for the guy we DIDN’T vote for. If those states are called for the guy we DIDN’T vote for, then we are going to watch Iron Man. And eat Chex Mix. And possibly cry.
FoxNews.
for just a bit tonight.
I’ll check in some more tomorrow, but getting ready for 15 ppl to stay in my home tomorrow night… cleaning doesn’t even BEGIN to describe what’s going on at my house tonight.
C’mon everyone, like we’re really gonna know tomorrow?? It’ll be weeks.
(I hope I’m wrong).
I don’t know–with 4 kids ages 10 and under, there are some news bits I don’t want them exposed to, yet. So we’ll probably watch Star Wars Clone Wars, and I’ll make cookies for the crew.
Then Chris and I will check the news before bed. We tend to watch Fox News, but I will watch anything except MSNBC–Chris is an all-out Fox fan.
We’re having comfort food for dinner-Breakfast casserole! Will be switching back and forth between NBC and CNN. My 12 year old wants to stay up all night. That would be a no.
I promised my hubby that I wouldn’t watch the news today. I am trying to keep my promise, fortunately I did not promise anything about calling friends and family who are watching the news for hourly updates.
First I have to watch the two-hour SNL Presidential Bash that’s calling my name on my DVR. Then I might turn on Fox News. Or I might watch Amazing Race. That race is more interesting to me. Phil Keoghan…hello?? There’s no competition.
ABC on one DVR, NBC on the other.
And I’m with Angela. I think I’m going to have to watch the recorded SNL to keep from hyperventilating.
We are popcorn people here.
Watching ABC, trying to get hubby to flip to Fox, surfing the net and capturing Li’l Empress’s first election day on the camera. It’s her first historic moment as an American citizen!
Might make cookies later, too. Peanut butter here, what about you?!
We are FOX newsers all the way. I love that Megan Kelly, that girl is so funny. But I doubt she will be on tonight. I can’t wait for tomorrow to get here already!
watching CNN with hubs and some friends are on the way. I’ve got my cookies made but have yet to dig in because it’s going to be a long night I’m afraid…
Refusing to watch TV news of any sort – watching a grade B action movie we rented. I will go to bed not knowing the results and wake up tomorrow(probably not happy about the results) and go about my life – But I do want to know the proper cookies to make for watching results!
For the first time in my adult life, I have “opted out.” Crazy huh? The most important election in my lifetime, one I have been discussing and debating for months and I decide to spend the time with the TV off, played Old Maid, Crazy 8′s and Go Fish with the kids (thank you SuperTarget Dollar Aisle) and I just finished listening to Phillips Craig & Dean sing “Shine On Us.” Now listening to Kari Jobe sing “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, Holy Holy is He!”
Perhaps this what I need to be doing instead afterall! I feel such peace! But hey…that’s just the call for me. I say stick with Fox and go for chocolate chip cookies! :)
Even this Canadian is refreshing MSNBC and switching between CNN and ABC.
But pretty soon I should go do laundry now that I am done my popcorn seeing as how it isn’t even my election.
Oh well.
going to bed now.
LOVE what Beth wrote on her LPM blog today about the election… perfectly sums up how I feel about it all.
and Amen to those of you up above me who said it: God is in control.
I wish I had my own blog — not that tech savvy though. If I did, I’d tell you all how my Meme (maternal grandmother)and my dad are both going to be under my roof tomorrow night – for the first time since my parents divorced 15 yrs ago… and Meme never liked my dad. Oh yes, and Mama will be here too. and my dad’s wife. and some of my friend’s husbands (all going on a blackhawk ride tomorrow with my man).
Oh yes, and a dear friend, who’s also my OB/Gyn…
I’m so out of my mind with cleaning I’m going on to bed! Aside from the drama (in my mind) of Meme and Daddy seeing being around each other for the first time, Do I really think that the man who cut my firstborn from my womb cares if there’s dustbunnies under the bed he’ll be sleeping in????
I’ll just get up tomorrow early and finish it all. and find out who our new president is (think I already can tell).

And the most important question, what kind of cookies?
November 4th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
just moved from the kitchen counter to the bedroom. on the laptop with the tv on abc and a glass of wine. waiting it out now.
smiles!

Just getting ready to tune in.
CNN?
I would have taken you for a Fox News gal anyday!
November 4th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Haven’t decided if I will watch on FOX–or hide under the covers until tomorrow!
Already had some German Chocolate Cake—skipped the cookies and went straight for the big gun!

Dropped off our ballots yesterday, got my “I Voted” sticker, turned off the TV.
I’m done. Can’t take it anymore.
November 4th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
I have been on Twitter all day too but saving the juicy TV coverage to share with my man over homemade soup ;) Happy Election Day!

Cookies are great comfort food!
I’m checking CNN. Fox is notoriously biased, so if it’s your network choice watch it with a grain of salt (or maybe a bag).

I’ll be watching at the gym while I work out, and then probably in our home office with Husband after that.

I’m checking in to the Drudge report every 30 minutes and I’m watching “PSYCHO” on Turner…preparation!
I will go FIND Glenn Beck…I hope.

God Bless America

DEFinitely watching – but taking a brief hiatus so the kids can watch a movie while I catch up on computer stuff – blogging, facebook and email.
November 4th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
I’m listening to John Gibson at 4:00 PST at work and will go home and watch FOX. I’ll bake cookies to take th edge off!
November 4th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
We’re watching Fox News, and I made snickerdoodles for cookies and milk tonight for the kids before bed.
November 4th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
Listening to Glenn Beck online with Fox News muted on the TV. Cookies…what a great idea!
November 4th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
On the laptop with the television in the background (sticking with the local coverage). I’m consuming KitKats like there is no tomorrow…
November 4th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
watching CNN with hubs and some friends are on the way. I’ve got my cookies made but have yet to dig in because it’s going to be a long night I’m afraid…

Flipping between Fox News and CBS (for the local stuff) and stressing out a tiny bit. God is in control, God is in control, God is in control……
November 4th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
I’m flipping between Fox and CNN. I made strawberry cake earlier in the day to carry me through. I also have my not so hoopty laptop on my lap.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
“Planning to make cookies if necessary.”
You are just the best. :)
November 4th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
I vote for making cookies! Yum! Just keeping updated online.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Flipping between FOX (I love FOX) and ABC.
God is in control.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
election?
Wonder Pets are saving a baby animal in our house.
NObama or McCain will win without me obsessing over it.
I can’t believe I just typed that. (quick, click Submit before you hit the delete button!)
November 4th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
My husband keeps slapping my hands, as I continue to gnaw on my cuticles. I’m sitting on the bed in front of Fox News, with laptop readied.
Cookies sound good. I’ve already raided the kid’s halloween booty. It’s gonna be a long night. :)
November 4th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
I’ll take peanut butter blossoms, please.
I kinda zhush by the TV every now and again. I don’t have to keep track. My 12 y.o. son is o.b.s.e.s.s.i.n.g. over it.
November 4th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Laptop: check. Fox News and CNN: check. Leftover Halloween Candy: check. Cell Phone/Home Phone: check. Praying, Praying, Praying: Check.
I’m just down the road if you need any moral support….
November 4th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Fox News…and praying. Whatever happens, God is in control, I agree. Our hope is in Him.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
FOX and ABC. Cleaning, folding laundry, and PRAYING, PRAYING, PRAYING.
Cookies sound like a good idea too!
November 4th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
I’m in Indiana.
And I keep hearing ‘All Eyes Are On Indiana’.
[And... all I can think is: I need to have my roots done.]
Watching Fox, CNN, ABC. Have FIVE websites open on MacBook. refresh*refresh*refresh
And horrified at the ROOTS! They are ~glowing~ in the blue light from the various TVs and computer screens.
I need some color before camera crews show up.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
In bed with the hubby – flipping between the Green Mile and coverage on FoxNews.
It’s killin’ me.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Watching CNN in the living room, two computers going with a number of websites open.
For dinner I made a slew of appetizers, like one would for the Super Bowl.
November 4th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Even this Canadian is refreshing MSNBC and switching between CNN and ABC.
