I think 2 years was plenty. I knew I would just work myself up in a frezy, so I decided to spend time with my hubby. I think I made the better choice. Watching it would not have changed the outcome. We're political science geeks. Election Day is like Christmas for us. We clicked around on pollster.com, fivethirtyeight.com, the excellent county-by-county maps on nytimes.com, andrewsullivan.com, and a whole lot of CNN/Fox/MSNBC flipping, at least until Karl Rove started singing “The Eyes of Texas.”

We’re political science geeks. Election Day is like Christmas for us.
