Linky Interwebby Awesomeness 12.9.08

by BooMama on 9 December 2008

in Daily Awesome

- So yesterday a certain recipe came to my attention. And y’all, I jumped in my chair when I saw it. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT, TOO (I mean, clearly Snickers would make it even better, but still).

- And this recipe? Just hand me a fork and we’ll call it supper.

- Over at all access, I’m talking about a conspiracy.

- And for all you Office fans: Andy Bernard Presents: A Tour of Schrute Farms

If you can believe it, my doctor has me on an “elimination” diet to help determine some possible food sensitivities. And, well, nothing says Happy Holidays like a some diet restriction!

So, needless to say, when I clicked on over to your interwebby awesomeness today, I about passed out.

Seriously. You’re killing me here.

Oh, for next month!

Oh glory! Glory! Chocolate inside a crescent roll! Could there be a more perfect food? I think not.

And the conspiracy video had me in tears. Big ones. Uplifting and convicting. But seriously? $10B to solve the worlds water problems? That’s it? That was an unfathomable number to me a few months ago. But now? $700B for the banks, $15B for the auto makers, and on, and on, and on. $10 for that is NOTHING!

I had to pop in and say hello because someone hassled me a bit for hosting a holiday open house the day after yours. In my response (to anonymous, of course) I rambled on about your utter fabulousness. Then I realized that as much as I read here, I’ve never commented or introduced myself. Bad Kimba.

So now I have. And you ARE fabulous.

Kimba

I always laugh (snort) when I hear about Snickers Salad. Hello, people! If there are Snickers bars in a recipe, IT SHOULD NOT BE CALLED “SALAD.”

Well, I eat it, of course. But still. Semantics.

And may I just say, I’m so glad your interlinky webadingy superduperness is where I can get to it with no extra effort.

Because, hello! Think of all my comment love (snark) you were missing all those months.

Thanks for posting the conspiracy video. I have been stressed out today. Behind at everything & just dumb things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things and I let them get to me. I even posted it on my site. I had no idea how to post it, but I did because everyone needs to see this.
THANKS!

I made these with my kids several years ago, only we fried them and then rolled in powdered sugar. Oh yeah, we did use snickers and baby ruths.

I almost hate to leave a comment and clutter up your inbox again, but, hey, it’s christmastime! And christmas is all about the clutter, right? ;-)

Speaking of Snickers, here’s an easy cookie we make at Christmas…Mini-snickers, cover in refrigerated sugar cookie dough, roll in colored sugar (we do red and green), bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. DELICIOUS! Enjoy! :)
