- Tina at Antique Mommy has written the ten commandments of entertaining. She offers some mighty valuable advice. And I wish I’d read it about ten years ago when I was so exhausted by the time company came over that I didn’t have nearly as much fun as I should have.
- I’ve seen the commercials for Edible Arrangements for years, but I wasn’t really sure how the fruit would hold up during delivery, and I wondered how it would taste. WELL. Last week some sweet friends sent me an arrangement of fruit dipped in chocolate, and OH MY WORD AT THE TASTY. I can’t even tell you how much we’ve enjoyed it.
- Do you know what else is delicious? This cake. Just keep a phone nearby because you’re going to need to call an ambulance to help you after you go into your sugar coma. It’ll be totally worth it, though, and you’ll probably want to offer a piece of cake to your friendly paramedic.
- Okay. So I know this is totally bizarre, but a friend sent us this video Friday night, and we laughed until we cried.
I honestly have no idea why it’s so funny. But oh, it makes me laugh.
- Finally, for all you Office fans: yesterday my bloggy friend Rutheee emailed me a link to Jim and Pam’s wedding site. CAN’T WAIT!

You need to watch Shane Lee singing “You Sexy Thing”, also. He’s got quite the collection of videos…
October 5th, 2009 at 3:09 am
Hubs has started singing “five octaves” at the dinner table. A most inopportune time. Or opportune, if he’s trying to make me choke. With laughter.
October 5th, 2009 at 7:45 am
Oooooo the concentration! Powerful!
October 5th, 2009 at 8:41 am

My husband and I own a musical instrument store and you would not believe how many real, live “Shanes” are out there. We can’t even laugh until they leave the building.
Very funny!

One word: HEAVEN.

October 5th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Oh my word, the video is so funny. He looks like he is in physical pain, and I love that the higher the notes get, he just belts out the same note he sang before! Needed that on this rainy Monday morning!
So sorry your Bulldogs lost! I was pulling for them. I can’t stand Tech!
October 5th, 2009 at 9:45 am

We get my mom an Edible Arrangement every year for Mother’s Day. She LOVES them. So tasty. She loves melon and is the only one in her house who eats it, so she rarely buys it. This lets her eat as much melon as she wants to her hearts content. And from what I hear it is might tasty.

You’re welcome…

Oh, I have LOTS of ideas as to why you might think the video is funny…
That is priceless! Can’t wait to perpetuate Shane’s talent with the rest of my world – Heidi

I played the video and it upset my dog mightily. He came charging over to the computer with his ears back. It was hilarious! My husband was on the other side of the living room and thought someone was in labor……
October 5th, 2009 at 8:16 pm

Always a pleasure to stop in at the House of Boo.
October 5th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
Bizarre, yes! But I cried a little I was laughing so hard and my husband has already imitated the guy so the laughs just keep on comin’ Thanks BooMama!
October 5th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
That video is so funny! That poor guy. :)
October 6th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Oh that video was painful. And very funny.
October 6th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
I don’t know why you laughed, but I know why I did….my husband and I have a friend whose wife is a professional singer and one night we were hanging out with them and talking about music and he revealed to us that he can sing 6 octaves!! and then proceeded to demonstrate. In case you are wondering, the guy on the video, yeah, he is much better than our friend. Ah, good times.
Wedding website. BooMama, you are feeding my obsession girl!

Aren’t the edible arrangements gorgeous?? I’ve never gotten one, but I did write a spoof on it a few weeks ago…an arrangement for me – “Carnivorous Creations”. My hubby and I had WAY too much fun making “Meat Flowers”. http://www.graspingforobjectivity.com/2009/09/carnivorous-creations.html

Tres Leches cake is health food – I mean milk is good, eggs are good, flour is good – sugar we can negotiate – but here in Tejas – Tres Leches cake is a mighty precious treat! Definitely worthy of the lick the bowl treatment!
Shane – yep – looks like the man is passing a kidney stone or a pointy object!
October 11th, 2009 at 12:18 am
Oh my word… Shane, Shane, Shane… At first I wondered if he was going to be one of your other Shane friends… but I know clearly now he was not. My only question is does he have ANY IDEA??? Does he know what he sounds and looks like? Does he post this to make us laugh or is he getting seriously ready for an AI audition? In other words, are we laughing at him or WITH him? I’m just wondering because either way, I’m definitely laughing!
