Linky Interwebby Awesomeness 01.21.10

– There’s an an awesome benefit for Haiti in the works. And if you’re a blogger (or a Facebooker or a Twitterer), you can help. It’s gonna be SO GREAT, y’all.

– Totally dropped the ball this week on linking to the Radical Experiment. But here’s this week’s Family Worship Guide.

– I’ve been way behind on “American Idol,” but last night I watched the Orlando auditions. And at the very end there was a guy named Matt Lawrence who just blew me away. Loved his story, loved his voice – I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

– If you’re like me and have absolutely no plans for next Tuesday night (the 26th), you might want to check out a little online concert by three of my very favorite musicians: Brandon Heath, Matt Wertz and Dave Barnes. This video has all the details. It also has some laughs. (link via Annie)

– Have you ever seen a product and wished that you’d invented it? That’s how I feel about these stay-put baby sock thingies. GENIUS. And if you have a little one, there’s a giveaway at the end of the post.

– “The Office” is back tonight! No link. Just happiness.

Hope y’all have a great Thursday!

  1. I am from Orlando and soooooo bummed I missed watching the AI auditions :(

  2. I’m sure you are probably not looking for a new show to watch, but my husband and I just watched all of Season 2 for “Parks and Recreation” on Hulu last week. So funny! As a hard core “Office” fan, I even like it more than “The Office” right now. I had seen a couple of “Parks and Rec.” episodes from Season 1 and wasn’t too impressed, but it looks like they got their acts together for Season 2. Unfortunately, most of the episodes expired on Hulu, but you can also watch a lot of them for free here: http://www.casttv.com/shows/parks-and-recreation.

  3. Oh I’ve been putting soft elastic hairbands on my girls’ ankles AND wrists to keep clothes where they belong….it’s helpful on footie pajamas, too.

  4. Posted on Shaun’s that we’ll get the word out. My son is trying to sell t-shirts too. Can’t get these people out of our thoughts. We’ll be missing you tomorrow…you’re in our conversations for sure!!! You do so much to bring us all together! You have such a beautiful gift of bringing joy! A joy giver. We have enough sorrows and we all need to enjoy our families and ourselves a little more. Little more of HIM! Missing you…love bev

  5. I am a new reader to your blog and I just had to say that I love that you mentioned Matt Lawrence and his story form AI. I couldn’t get the word, “Redemption” out of my head the whole next day after that.
