American Idol – Top 10 Guys

by BooMama on 2 March 2010

in TV Is My Friend

Two quick things before I put up the Mr. Linky:

1) I don’t need to hear any Idol contestant sing “What’s Love Got To Do With It” or “My Girl” ever again in my whole life ever and I’M NOT KIDDING ONE BIT ABOUT THAT.

2) I thought Michael Lynche and Lee Dewyze were great. Also: Alex Lambert is going to be one to watch when he gets a little more comfortable on stage.

What did y’all think?

p.s. If you’re doing the Linky thing, please add the link for your specific post – not just your general blog URL.

It was good tonight! And I totally agree with you about “My Girl”…enough already.

I totally agree with both #1 and #2.

I was a little miffed at the judges tonight. I really don’t think they can decide if they want contestants to “make it their own!” or “don’t mess with the original!”

How in the world are they supposed to know what to do?

I actually thought Tim Urban did well tonight too.

What’d you think of Tim? I thought he did SO much better tonight. Love him. (I’m a little prejudice since he’s a friend of my kids, though :)

I totally agree with your two top picks…..in fact those were the two that I voted for, too. Michael was so professional, and Lee did a good job. The rest of them were totally boring and PITCHY

Oh my yes on the My Girl song. It sounded so juvenile. Ugh.

Yep. Yep, yep and yep. I’d add that I love the tone of Andrew Garcia’s voice, I just think something between him and his song choice isn’t connecting. I thought Ellen’s advice to Tim Urban was perfect, too. Have you written yet about how you think Ellen’s doing so far? Love to hear your thoughts on that.

I still like Casey James. And Tim, and the guy with the mullet (Alex?), and Big Mike, and Lee.
I always like the boys better than the girls!

I had kids crawling all over me during the show….playing my phone and Jimmy’s ipod touch…..those loud fish frenzy games….I think those guys are the ones I liked! Ha! I was also texting and playing Words With Friends (on my phone when i could get it from the kids), and blogging….really important multi-tasking! So I was a little distracted!

I completely agree with you!! I thought Lee and Michael were the best, and I still like Casey James. I definitely think Alex is the one to watch.

However, I think this year’s contestants are not up to par with previous years. Simon always says that the talent gets better every year and this year I’ll have to disagree. I don’t have a clear favorite yet. Those like Kris Allen and Adam Lambert and Carrie Underwood were clear favorites from the beginning for me, but nothing this year and I don’t like that =(

Lee is awesome! Love him! He’s from my town, too so I am extra giddy about him. Young mullett dude DOES have a great voice, too. Sooo much better than last week. I agree on Andrew Garcia – I REALLY like him but his song choices are not good. Also, I think 4 judges is too many – it goes on and on (even WITHOUT Paula). ; ) Have a great day, Boo Mama.

Heh…yeah. I was NOT getting most of the song choices tonight…and My Girl gives me (creepy) flashbacks to the movie…

I will admit that American Idol is getting a little old but I still like it because it is an “easy” watch for my family.
