Anybody else’s ears still ringing from that last note Siobhan Magnus hit at the end of “Think”?
Sweet mercy. I think my windshield may have shattered.
Tonight was sort of a mixed bag for the girls, and I really wanted to hug Haeley Vaughn and Didi Bernami. Honestly, I thought the judges were a little hard on Didi, and you could tell that she was so stinkin’ frustrated in terms of trying to figure out how to please them.
But there were definitely some standouts. I really liked Crystal Bowersox (who’s in a little bit of a league of her own), Katelyn Epperly (yes, the song was slow, but it was interesting) and Paige Miles (her voice reminds me a little bit of Whitney – pre-Bobby B., of course).
What did y’all think? Any favorites yet?

I totally agree about Didi. I just love her. And either I need some wax surgically removed or the judges do. I thought it was really good.
Didi and Crystal are my picks! I always love the more acoustic types. But honestly, I think the guys have it this year.
I liked the same ones you did, particularly Crystal and Katelyn. I also love Lilly Scott. I thought the judges were going to rake Siobhan over the coals for that screechy note, but they loved it. It was impressive and painful all at the same time, lol.
That high note ROCKED. I love Siobhan. Her name is super-cool too.

And Lacey (but she didn’t do that well).
Katelyn hasn’t grown on me yet.

I actually really loved Didi’s performance and felt awful for her.
I thought that you would appreciate a comment from one of my 10 year old twins to the other:
“I am pretty sure that Kara is wearing a Bump-It in her hair”
I think they were way to hard on Didi. I personally think Kara does not like her because she sang her song “Terrified” better than Kara herself. But I love Crystal and Didi, and Katelyn is growing on me.
I loved Didi last night, I could not understand why the judges were so awful to her. I guess I’m listening to something completely different than the judges this year.
I am very bummed that the judges were all so hard on Didi last night. I thought her song was actually very good. I love her voice, her sweetness, her style. I hope she will be there next week, come out with her voice and her guitar and blow the judges away. Love her! Crystal was very good too!
Bowersox! (I heard her being AWOL on Monday night was due to complications of her diabetes. Hope she is taking care of herself, staying strong, and standing on that final stage in May!)
Did anyone else notice Ryan Seacrest’s touchy-feely-ness with Didi? He was lovin’ him some Didi!
