So I know it may be a little strange, but I’m sort of endlessly fascinated by cereals.
Seriously.
I LOVE THEM. I’ve even written blog posts about them before.
And while I’d like to think that my cereal tastes show how I’ve grown and matured as a person, I pretty much like all the same cereals that I did when I was a kid.
Frosted Flakes? Yes ma’am. Brings back fond memories of staying up until 10 o’clock to watch “Charlie’s Angels” re-runs on a station out of Chicago. Frosted Flakes was always my go-to late-night snack.
Frosted Mini-Wheats? Please and thank you. It was hands-down my favorite cereal for the mornings. Not too sweet – and when the milk starts to change the texture of the wheat wafers just a little bit so that they’re slightly mushy but not soggy? That’s what cereal-eating will be like in heaven.
Apple Jacks? Why, I believe I will. They always remind me of spending the night with my friend Laura and playing endless rounds of Trivial Pursuit with her parents. I really have no idea why I associate those things with each other; I can only assume that I chose cereal as my snack food during our games.
However, recently my loyalties have shifted to a new cereal that my little boy discovered earlier this summer. He saw it one day in the cereal aisle, asked if we could PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE add it to our breakfast rotation, and since I am always a proponent of refining our cereal-related palates, I agreed.
You may have noticed that we are very fancy in our house. Very fancy indeed.
What I could have never known, of course, is that while the little guy would try and like this cereal, I would try it and LOVE IT. Except that I’m not really that sure that “love” is a strong enough word.

Oh my goodness, people. This stuff is divine. It’s different from other cereals in the cinnamon-sugar vein because it’s actually much more cinnamon-y than sugar-y. For that reason, it’s not too sweet for the mornings, but more than anything else, it is PERFECT for dessert. And as I’ve said before, if you are not familiar with the cereal-as-dessert-option, then clearly I have overshared. I do apologize.
So what about you? What are your favorite Kellogg’s breakfast cereals? Or do you have a favorite from when you were younger? yawn, i know, but — I love the corn flakes. every time I eat them, I think of my grandpa eating a bowlful every morning as I spent summers with him and my grandma as a young child.
I love Frosted Flakes, but haven’t had it in a while…
KELLOG’S corn flakes was the only cereal I would eat as a kid. My husband likes to mix 3 or 4 types together so we have a box of cheerios and rice crispies and more on our pantry shelf.
My family loves Mini Wheats, but for a treat while camping we eat Apple Jacks!
Love the Frosted Flakes! Rice Krispies are a close second!
My favorite all time cereal is Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. Running a close second is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which means I’m very excited to try the Cinnabon. Now, my favorite SNACK cereals are Fruit Loops and Cheerios. But the ceral eaten most often in our home? Frosted Mini-Wheats! We consider that a healthy alternative.
Love the special K!
LUCKY CHARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will eat them with milk, without, in a cup, in a bowl, in the palm of my hand, snuggled inside a paper towel… Sometimes I pick out the marshmallow pieces and eat them first, sometimes I don’t. They’re just so versatile. :-D
I really like cinnamon toast crunch but if I’m trying to be healthier I like Special K with berries.
Apple Jacks! Love them…I would always pick that for my special birthday cereal growing up. But this Cinnabon cereal makes me stop and stare every time I’m in the store…yum.
special k

Frosted Mini Wheats are good drenched in milk
When I was young we always had Raisin Bran and Rice Krispies. These days I love the Low Fat Granola and I even occasionally get the kids variety pak so I can snack on Froot Loops and Corn Pops.
Frosted mini wheats are our favorite and we love all the new varieties they offer now! :)
Snap..Crackle..POP!! Gotta have my POPS…..CORN POPS!!!
A tie between Frosted Flakes and Frosted Mini Wheats. Remember when they had the UN-frosted flakes? Maybe they still do, but I for one, am NOT a fan!
We love Special K and Cornflakes!
My favourite cereal is Cocoa Krispies. We can’t get it in Canada so I try to buy some every time I visit the US. I add corn syrup and peanut butter to it to make a crust for ice cream pie! It’s YUMMY!!!! Thanks for the chance to win. LOVE your blog!! Would love to meet you someday. You have such a wonderful way of writing – it makes everyone think they are best friends with you! :)
Oh my goodness…my favorite is DEFINITELY the new Cinnabon one! I literally ate an entire box BY MYSELF in 24 hours last week…no milk, just me, the box, and my PMS. ;)
I don’t know if these are Kellogg’s… but I feel like the best cereals are and if I haven’t mentioned any here, I can still promise you that I love them. My all time fave would have to be Cocoa Puffs. But I LOOOOVE cereal. Especially the awesome sugary ones like Corn Pops and Cap’n Crunch and Fruity Pebbles. Love.
I love frosted mini wheats. God for kids good for adults. The best of both worlds.
We like Rice Krispies and Special K.
my sons favorite is apple jacks! i like their raisin bran

Froot Loops. Love em even now!!
Frosted Mini Wheats. I eat them dry and sort them so I eat the ones with the least amount of frosting first and save the heavily-frosted ones for last!
We actually just tried the Cinnabon cereal this week-and we love it as well!
We never had sugar cereals as children. But the few times I had Froot Loops (at someone else’s house), I was in heaven. As an adult, I enjoy Froot Loops occasionally, but only as a dessert food.

Oh… Special K cereals (all flavors) are just plain awesome. I can’t eat enough of ‘em.
For as long as I can remember, Frosted Mini Wheats are one of my favorites. I think I’ve passed on my great sense of taste to my family.
Mmm…frosted mini-wheats. Doesn’t get any better!
I loved Frosted Flakes as a kid and still do. I have however grown up a little and quite enjoy Raisin Bran.
Frosted Mini Wheats are a go-to for me in the mornings. Yum!
Without a shadow of doubt… Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch! It’s my all-time favorite cereal!
Frosted Mini-Wheats for sure. Unless I’m eating chocolate ice cream, then I all Frosted Flakes. yum.
My favorite is frosted mini wheats…
I love Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries… but I need to try this! The one thing that I cannot get enough of during my pregnancy is cinnamon rolls!
I can’t help it….I love the kids cereals still! For my favorite, it’s got to be Fruit Loops. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I love Frosted Flakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I adore Kellogg’s Smart Start!
I love special K chocolate
We like Kellogg’s Mueslix
I love Corn Pops and Apple Jacks. I also love how Apple Jacks is now made with more fiber. I could always use more of that!
