Clearly It Will Change Everything

So last night was our first annual (OH YES MA’AM IT WILL BE ANNUAL) Miss Mississippi bloggy viewing party. IT WAS A BLAST. The pageant was great and the comments were hysterical; the only thing missing, really, was an assortment of appetizers that we could all share. Though I’m guessing that sharing the appetizers would have been somewhat problematic since the viewing party participants were scattered across the country and all.

Anyway, the viewing party made me think about how fun it would be if there was a reply option in my comments, if I could just click a button and respond to something specific that a commenter said. So you can appreciate the sweet irony of the fact that (post-blog party) I discovered that I’ve actually had that feature all along. I just haven’t had it activated. Because I’m very forward-thinking and tech-savvy and etc.

All that to say: there is now a reply option in the comments. I think it’ll be more fun! so much fun! just more fun!

Because there’s nothing like hopping on board with the hot 2006 blog trends in 2011. It’s how I roll.

Happy 4th, y’all.

O GIRL WE DID HAVE SOME FUN DIDNT WE? CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE ME A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE PAGEANTRY VIEWING..CAUSE WE ALL KNOW THIS IS GONNA GET REAL BIG!:):) AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO LOOK BACK AND SAY I WAS THERE WHEN IT ALL BEGAN!!

PS CANT GET EYE OF THE TIGER TO QUIT REPLAYING IN MY HEAD:)

  2. I had a BLAST. It was the highlight of my day. I think there should be a MEGA PARTY for Miss America! And we can wear tiaras and Miss [Whatever] sashes and post photos of ourselves! And make our guys wear white tuxes with pink vests and ties!

  3. I read the comments as they were happening here last night. Seems like our state pageant didn’t even air on television last night. I was one disappointed non-pageant-viewing gal. You all kept me laughing and guessing what you were talking about since I didn’t watch the thing! If you host one for Miss America I’ll be joining you.

I wondered about that reply thingy. Glad you’ve discovered how to activate it.

I started watching the pageant at the interview portion…I know, way late. Afterword though, I read y’alls comments and was literally dying laughing. My favorite comments were about mastering the rope climb and offering the audience a platter of petit fours. Too fun! I’m with everyone else on the Miss American pageant. Only seems fitting!

  5. I hung in there as long as I could then had to drop out for a breather and a snack.

You girls are fast. And sharp. And hysterical. I was having all kind of trouble watching, commenting, and on occasion, excusing myself to the bathroom!

Thanks for allowing me to try and hang with the pros!

  6. Oh, yes, we must do the same for Miss America. And really, y’all if
Sophie was willing we could do this for lots of state pageants since most are live streamed now. I would love for all y’all to watch Miss Texas with me next year.

Thank Sophie, it was so much fun.

  7. So, I just stmbled upon your blog while playing around on the internet. I dig it! So sad I missed the pageant, though. That would have been a good time I’m sure. Look forward to following along neighbor! You are funny. I like to laugh. Let’s be blogger buddies!

  8. WLBT had “technical difficulites” so it didn’t air in Jackson till 9:35. I should have just watched it online. I hate I missed all the fun, but glad y’all had a great time watching it!
