Christy Nockels “Life Light Up” Giveaway

If you’ve been reading here for more than a week, you know that I adore Christy Nockels. ADORE her. ADORE her.

And do you know how I discovered her music? Through blogging. It’s a long story, but way back in ye olden days, when we all blogged on IBM Selectrics, one of my very first bloggy friends, Addie, told me about Watermark’s A Grateful People CD. It was musical love at first sight. And then I saw a picture of Christy Nockels’ hair.

Forget about it. I was done. She can sing like that AND she has inspirational hair? Clearly she has the Lord’s favor.

Well.

Christy Nockels has a new CD called “Life Light Up,” and I absolutely love it. The song selections are wonderful, and her voice – oh, her voice. It’s powerful and humble and worshipful and soothing all at the same time. You can hear samples of the songs on Amazon or iTunes, but trust me: THEY ARE ALL DELIGHTFUL. Her version of “A Mighty Fortress” is worth the price of the whole CD. Not to mention that “Life Light Up” has been one of my very favorite scream-along songs this summer (“My light / will shine / on earth / And my Father will be praised” – COME ON).

I was so excited to leave a comment that I had it half-written and realized I was writing in the “Name” box!! I used to love Christy with Watermark, and then she came to my church in Little Rock once and I loved her even more. Then I heard her sing several times when she was going to my daughter’s church in Nashville. She is truly amazing!!

OH my word, I love her to death as well. I saw her in concert in the round when she was “Watermark” back in high school. Love love love their music and would L-double O-O-V-E a cd!!! :)

I would love a copy of her new CD! Her brother was my youth pastor, so my senior year in HS Watermark lead praise & worship at our youth camp. I don’t know her personally but I can say we have mutual friends – I’ll take that…ha!

I bought a Watermark CD YEARS ago and practically wore it out, I loved it so much. I totally lost touch and didn’t realize that Christy Nockels was now performing as a solo artist until I read about her on your blog. So thank you for that. :) Hoping that I win the CD so I can enjoy her music again!!!

I remember the first time I ever saw Watermark live. They were on their first tour with Point of Grace, and they debuted at CBA. Since then it’s been love.
