Christy Nockels “Life Light Up” Giveaway
If you’ve been reading here for more than a week, you know that I adore Christy Nockels. ADORE her. ADORE her.
And do you know how I discovered her music? Through blogging. It’s a long story, but way back in ye olden days, when we all blogged on IBM Selectrics, one of my very first bloggy friends, Addie, told me about Watermark’s A Grateful People CD. It was musical love at first sight. And then I saw a picture of Christy Nockels’ hair.
Forget about it. I was done. She can sing like that AND she has inspirational hair? Clearly she has the Lord’s favor.
Well.
Christy Nockels has a new CD called “Life Light Up,” and I absolutely love it. The song selections are wonderful, and her voice – oh, her voice. It’s powerful and humble and worshipful and soothing all at the same time. You can hear samples of the songs on Amazon or iTunes, but trust me: THEY ARE ALL DELIGHTFUL. Her version of “A Mighty Fortress” is worth the price of the whole CD. Not to mention that “Life Light Up” has been one of my very favorite scream-along songs this summer (“My light / will shine / on earth / And my Father will be praised” – COME ON).

I found Watermark because of you and then realized that I’d been listening to Christy Nockels during one of the most pivotal seasons of my Christian walk. I spent a month on Summer Staff at a Young Life camp and the cd I wore out was the “Passion: Hymns, Ancient & Modern” on which she sings.
After all “talking” you have done about Christy Nockels how can I not want to win this cd? You haven’t let me down yet!

I have been a fan of Christy Nockels ever since the One Day conference in Memphis several years ago. I heard her sing LIVE and it was glorious. And then when she and Nathan decided to be done as Watermark I was so sad! But I’m absolutely deilghted that she is doing the solo thing and I want her CD more than I can tell you!!!

OH my word! “A Grateful People” GOT ME THROUGH the loss of a baby girl almost 3 years ago (Sept 6 will be 3 yrs). Her voice soothes my soul. I mean, not like I really like it, but I mean God totally used her voice to calm, strengthen and speak words of comfort to me during the worst days of my life. Can’t wait to hear her new stuff!!! Guuuurrrl, Christy N. is the bomb! I have one of her first albums that she recorded with her husband before they were given the name WATERMARK. What an amazing voice and talent!
